NOVEMBER 2007 – BIRTHDAY MONTH, shit I’ve turned 28 this month, damn I’m getting old old old. So yes I have turned 28, November 13th. And after that a dear friend of mine also had a Birthday (pictures of the bash below). And this was also a month of CAHRITY. This month I worked along with the Red Cross to raise funds for the hurricane disaster relief efforts. U can check out the NEWS REVIEWS on my press page here on my website. I was the MC for the event and also donated a painting for the evening’s silent auction. Great month I must say!

OCTOBER 2007 – Aside from this being the month for All Hallows Eve, or known by most as Halloween, its also the month when my old flame came for a visit. The human being that I got back together with after six years of on and off and talking and not talking decided to come to Belize for a visit, and since the planets are aligned, he is now back on my life. Yap sorry boys, Angela is officially OFF THE MARKET. I have always been one to say that going back to the past is a bad thing, but hey, a leopard can change their spots right, sooooo, I’m gonna give it a shot. A few nights of Partying and a really fun Halloween, as you can see form the pics, I was miss Marilyn Monroe, and my boyfriend (oh yuck, I hate saying that word, LOL, but I better get used to it) looks a tid bit like JFK JR, so that’s what he was.

June 2007 - Below that are shots of the Pacific Coast where the Guatemalan family of ours has a home. The waves were beautiful and the volcanic sand was excuisite. Although i have been going there since birth, and even lived there for about a year... a good 10 years ago... it is still always beautiful whe i return. Too bad for me there was no real fun time - darnettttt I wanted to BASH, but that soooo didn't happen! :-( Maybe next time I'll actually have some fun in Guatemala. wowowowow
I love Artistic Shots

As the popularity of poetry grows, so does the number of local enthusiasts who will no doubt welcome the new C.D. launched today. The disc samples the work of some of the best already in the business and newcomers hoping to make a name for themselves. This morning News Five's Kendra Griffith enjoyed a preview of the performances.
Angela Gegg, Poet [Reading Poem]
“I saw it proud and I say it loud, just listen to me cause I’m a massive unstoppable force. Take the time, hear me now and listen to my voice because I’m from this land of the free, that’s B to the E to the L to I to the Z and E. So not because of the fact that I am blonde, beautiful and Caucasian, that **** don’t make me not from this nation because I’m one hundred percent Belizean.”
Kendra Griffith, Reporting
One Hundred Percent Belizean is just one of the ten poems on the C.D., “Spoken Word from Belize Vol. 1” which was released this morning at the Image Factory.

April 2007 - This was indeed a very sad Easter. My gramps passed away on Good Friday, April the 6th. This is something that I will never forget as Gramps was and still is very dear to me. He was the most amazing person in the world. In a strange irony, it was almost perfect though, as all three of his children were here, Aunt Sandra and her entire family had planned on spending the Easter in Belize from Guatemala for the first time in years, and my Uncle Tony came in from Canada as well... It was almost as if Gramps planned it this way, and off he went to join my Grama cookies, Lia. Speaking of cookies, I banned The Smoky Mermaid from making oatmeal cookies, those were HIS and will remain HIS forever. RIP Gramps - Love Ya Always xxxxxAng
Gramps and I - Gotts mad love for ya Gramps!
March 2007 - Passport to Latin America. As everyone knows, not only am I an artist, author, entertainer and personality, buttttt I also run THE SMOKY MERMAID restaurant and bar... my full time job ppl, LOL - and we were delighted to have the TRAVEL CHANNEL in town. They chose to feature our restaurant for an upcoming series of Passport to Latin America on the Travel Channel with Samantha Brown. The entire Travel Channel staff was great and Samantha was very cool as well - filming the segment reminded me very much of my "Cooking with the Smoky Mermaid" days. As soon as the show airs you guys know i'll have video clips up and running. Cheers and thanks to the Travel Channel for picking the Smoky Mermaid and Belize.

Feb 2007 - This was def a month for FAMILY.... wow it was also my grandad's 94th birthday, so LOTTTTTTTTTS of family came into town for this huge birthday celebration. And when i say lots I mean lots, many of whom were cousins that i had not seen in forever. I don't know why it is, but family situations really seem to stress me out and make me anxious - we all have such different lives and have been through different things which have molded us into who we are. I have always been so fifferent from the rest of my family, i think they all look at me funny - many people can't understand my outspoken and agressive attitude - I guess you could call me the black sheep! Oh well i dealt with it....
