Angela Gegg, author of “The Light, The Dark, And Everything In Between”, and one of Belize’s most provocative and explosive artists, had her first official out district Book Signing and Art Event. This past weekend, Sat Aug 26th, the BELIZEAN ARTS art gallery located at the Fidos Courtyard welcomed the artist we know as Proshka (or Angela Gegg). She was welcomed by an array of both San Pedranos and foreigners who both reside on and were visiting the island.
All week San Pedro Town was buzzing about the event, on Thursday the 23rd, she was invited to be a guest on the San Pedro Barrier Reef Radio with DJ Kandyman from 3-5pm to promote the event and discuss her slickly produced opus, “The Light, The Dark And Everything In Between”, as well as her infamous and highly publicized Art Exhibit, “Hottt Chicks Can Paint Too”, which launched this past July (7/7/7- July 7th @ 7). The San Perdo Daily Online Newsletter as well as the San Perdo Sun Newspaper had the event featured in its publications, and on the eve of the show the San Pedro media were there taking photos and interviewing the artist.
